Off Duty Officer Encounters Burglars

One of the owners is an NSP trooper and when he encountered the men inside his house he issued a “help and officer” call, police said.

Wow, I wish us civillians had an “help an officer” button (this is actually a button on their radios). Officers from three counties away drop what they’re doing and come flying with lights and sirens blazing.

Meanwhile, a call to 911 means you wait 5-10 minutes for the police to show up.

And yes, three burglars were arrested.
