Feeling Ways About Things
Loudly to his friend…
New favorite saying.
I’m at the point in my life where a girl would have to appeal to a very specific fetish if she wanted to overcome liking “Big Bang Theory” in my eyes.
A guy I’ll just annihilate until he defends himself by mentioning what kind of car he drives.
Also, in case “Fuck this minsterlsy with 8 firepokers” isn’t already on the front or your brain, check this if you value comedy as an artform period and don’t already see this show as an enemy.
You meant “minstrelsy”. You’re not a nerd! You’re a big fat phony!
But yes “nerd blackface” is amazing.
I’m sorry - I know some of you like this show, but this is exactly how I feel about it. I still like you though.
It’s obviously an over-the-top example of nerds (or some other similar term); the characters are intense cases of a broad group of people within the “nerd” label. If it wasn’t over-the-top, it probably wouldn’t stand out to as many people. Then again, a lot of shows are over-the-top, whether a sitcom or “reality”. I feel more peace with myself watching The Big Bang Theory than watching the news or most “reality” shows.
I don’t watch a lot of tv anyway, and most of what I watch are reruns of crime dramas. Even if a person really hates The Big Bang Theory, there are always guilty-pleasure shows, like Celebrity Rehab and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I don’t feel guilty about MLP, though; that show rocks.
That’s what they said about black people, too.
My mom texted me the other day: ” Do you watch Big Bang theory? Which character are you?” I replied: “I don’t have cable...
I’ll just leave this here.
I like that. Maybe that should be the term for all the Olivia Munns of the world too?
I think I just found my new favorite blog..
